User Research Mission
Get to know your users before you launch your product on the market.
Building great products customers love requires not only resources and dedication from the developers and other staff members, it most of all calls for the product or service to address the right set of needs, pain points and expectations users have at a certain point in their journey.
User research can help you identify the sweet spot where users are experiencing a pain, what gains they're hoping for and the sort of experience they're consciously or not expecting to live.
I run user research either alone, with collaborators of the organisation or with partnering ethnographers.

Light Research:
✓ Framing session (1 hr)
Protocol:
✓ 2 x 2 hrs workshops to prepare the research protocol
Field:
✓ 1.5 days of user interviews and/or immersion and/or observation
Deliverables:
✓ 1 Interview Protocol
✓ 1 Field report (factual description of what was observed and/or heard)
✓ 1 light analysis (trends, underlaying needs and opportunities for business, rough classification of users)
In-depth Research:
✓ Introduction of User research methods (onboarding of collaborators who will take part in the field research - ½ hr)
✓ Framing session (1.5 hrs)
Protocol:
✓ 3 x 2 hrs workshops to prepare the research protocol
✓ 3 x 2 hrs workshops to synthesise the research and interpret the results
Field:
✓ 5 days of user interviews and/or immersion and/or observation
Deliverables:
✓ 1 Interview Protocol
✓ 1 Field report (factual description of what was observed and/or heard)
✓ 1 in-depth analysis (trends, underlaying needs and opportunities for business, rough classification of users)
✓ 1 set of Personae (up to 4) & associated journey maps
✓ 1 final presentation
